BRONISLAW SIWICKI

COMMITTEE MEMBER

I migrated to Australia with my wife, two daughters and two sons in 1982 through the Family Reunion Program. Very soon after, I found employment at the Ford Motor Company in Geelong, where I work for a number of years. I am now retired.

I became a member of the Polish Community Association in Geelong (PCA) in 2002. I was elected and served on the Committee from 2009 to 2013. I went back onto the Committee in 2015.

I am also heavily involved in the Polish Senior Citizens’ Group, which runs activities for our Polish members in the Geelong Community. I was also the Group’s Public Officer for a number of years.

My wife, Stefania, and I also volunteer our time in the fundraising “Kitchen Brigade” at the White Eagle House. This group prepares all the meals for special Polish functions, such as Poland’s Independence Day, Polish Constitution Day, together with Mother’s Day and our traditional Polish Christmas Eve Dinner.

I am also a member of the Polish Parish Committee, which supports our priest in his spiritual work with his parishioners.
